Partners for Life

Saving lives through Holistic Emergency Medical care

Partners for Life was founded by Dr. Cheryl Snyder, an Emergency Medicine specialist with over 15 years experience as a physician. She is also the medical director for the Columbia Basin College paramedic training program in Washington State and has provided medical care  and training in various locations in the U.S.A and around the world.

The initial concept for “Partners For Life” begin with activities initiated by a group of private individuals during trips to Turkey in 2006 and China 2007.  During this time an assessment was made of the need for a training and education program which would allow communities to plan for natural disasters and medical emergencies involving large numbers of people. During this phase preliminary patient care protocols and educational materials were developed for use in the training program and were tested through actual training experiences. Based on this work it was determined that a great need exists for this type of program.

Partners for Life was organized as a Washington State Non Profit Organization on August 13, 2007 and is currently classified as 501 (c) 3 by the Internal Revenue Code. This status allows individuals to make charitable contributions to Partners For Life which are deductible for federal income tax purposes.
